The Fireplace Records, Chapter 27
When Was Chaos Born?
Everything gave birth, at some time, to Chaos.
Sometimes, some events give birth to Chaos.
Chaos sometimes gives birth to Order.
Sometimes, just about Anything Happens, including Chaos.
Cancer is a Form of Chaos.
Chaotic Thinking often Occurs.
Chaos sometimes reforms into Order.
Fires can often be Controlled, sometimes are Chaotic.
Chaos can be Destructive or just Ugly.
Chaos can have a bigger statistical Face of Order.
Escaping from Disaster is a Chaotic Affair.
There can be Beauty in Chaotic Patterns.
Chaos is not Empty.
Excessive Busy-ness is rather Chaotic.
Ignorance calls it Chaos, Insight calls it Complexity.
Changsheng asks, "What about the time of primordial chaos,
before any differentiation?"
Lingyun Zhiqin answers, "A pillar conceives." (ENT 14)
Disorderly. Random. Uncertain. Chaotic.
Can't differentiate, can't answer.
The sub-atomic understory of a "pillar" is rather chaotic.
Nonsense can be rather chaotic jabber.
"Don't Know" is sometimes acceptable,
but "Why We Don't Know" is a better answer.
Metaphors may make us smile, but they are weak-kneed.
We conceive and chatter about the meanings and uses of a "pillar."
Primordial Causes, First Causes ... are evasive.
