  1. Hi Mike,

You gave really fantastic information on the Yang sword forms, thanks a lot for your great research work, it is very helpful.
I am currently learning a Yang sword form which was introduced by Huang Xingxian (Huang Sheng Shyan) and is now taught by Wee Kee Jin and his disciples which consists of 108 movements. Where does this fit in? It is Yang style but I do not find any references on the Web. Can you help with information?

  2. Elvira,

    Thanks for the positive feedback.

I do not know about he sword form introduced by Huang Xingxian (Huang Sheng Shyan).

There is a tendency among Yang practitioners to make forms fit the 108 number. You see that in the long Yang hand form. 108 has significance in the Buddhist mala (rosary).

    Best wishes,

    Mike
